
Al Nasr Sports Club celebrated Emirati Women’s Day, held this year under the theme “Together We Rise Stronger and Better”, highlighting the important role of Emirati women in the UAE’s journey of development and achievement, and recognizing their continued contributions across various fields, especially in sport.
The celebration included the honouring of a number of Emirati female athletes who represent Al Nasr in various sporting competitions, in recognition of their efforts and dedication to the club. A group of mothers of players from the club’s teams and Al Nasr Football Academy were also honoured for their important role in supporting and encouraging their children throughout their sporting journeys.
The honourees were recognized by Ms. Noura Hassan Al Jasmi, President of the UAE Badminton Federation and Board Member of Al Nasr Club Investment Company, accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Mattar Al Jumeiri, Board Member of Al Nasr Sports Games Company. The ceremony reflected the club’s appreciation for the contribution of Emirati women and their positive role in both society and sport.
Speaking during the celebration, Ms. Noura Al Jasmi said that Emirati women have shown that ambition has no limits. She noted that they have always been a strong example of dedication and excellence, and an important partner in the UAE’s journey of growth and progress, supported by the wise leadership’s belief in their abilities and commitment to empowering them to succeed in different fields.
She added that Al Nasr Club believes sport goes beyond competition on the field and also carries an important social message. She expressed her pride in the role Emirati women play in sporting, administrative and community fields, and in their achievements that reflect the inspiring image of UAE women.
She concluded with a message of appreciation to Emirati women, saying: “Thank you for your dedication, thank you for your ambition, and thank you for your role in shaping the future of our nation,” stressing that Emirati women will continue to be a symbol of giving and an essential partner in the UAE’s journey of achievement and success.
